Meet Sir Roundbutt
Not all trilobites were bottom dwellers. Some swam in the open oceans upside down. I’m not aware if Cyclopyge was one of the weirdos that swam with their feet up, but I think it’s an interesting genus to choose since it has two freakishly large eyes. In some Cyclopyge species, the eyes even stretch pretty far to the front that they meet in the middle.
For such a creature with a freakishly huge head and eyes that are hard to miss, I’m impressed that the name Cyclopyge pretty much means “round butt.”
